Knock, knock who’s first on the bill?
The first acts to grace the Gala is none other than Damian Kingsley. Damian has had an amazing year. He’s completed a 120 date national comedy tour (from Land’s End to Edinburgh) for the housing and homelessness charity, Shelter.
The tour required him to not use any money nor public transport. He had to rely of the kindness of others for food and accommodation. His tour raised well over £20,000 for Shelter.
On top of that he then did his critically acclaimed Knock Knock (4 star) Edinburgh show throughout August.
So expect Damian to be firing on all cylinders as our opening act of the Gala!
“Kingsley made us roar with his witty sketches about life, love and general embarrassment, throwing in a few brilliant metaphors and mixing them through his intelligent comedy. ” – Broadway Baby
“Slick, well-evoked, anecdotal material powered by punchlines” – Chortle
Time of a little break?
Maybe it’s time to powder a few noses or get another round of drinks in? Don’t worry, we’ve got your back. The main break of the evening is here!
Have 20 minutes on us.
Time for our middle-act: the amazing Andy Storey!
Andy started Stand-Up in November 2010 and since then has been remarkably prolific finding himself in the final of six major competitions. Notably ‘One to Watch’ runner-up at the world
famous, Up The Creek Comedy Club, Leicester Square
New act of the year and the highly prestigious BBC Radio New Comedy Award 2015.
Born and Braised in the North of England BBC Radio New Comedy Award finalist 2015, Andy Storey is one of the most exciting, original and idiosyncratic rising stars of the post alternative
comedy scene. His deliciously dry sense of humour, and effortless performance style mark him out as a refreshing, albeit positively cynical new voice in comedy.
“Slick relaxed delivery that packed the gags in! … Wry punchlines efficiently packed in keeping the audience laughing.” – BBC Comedy Awards.

Morrison’s car park a few year ago.
