2 NOV ’16 – Rick Kiesewetter – The Water Poet
Special Guest Headliner: Rick Kiesewetter
Rick is an Asian-American comic. Adopted in Japan and then raised in a small town in New Jersey. Served in US Army Intelligence in Germany and has been living in the UK since 1993.
Now a British citizen, he is now working on his 3rd solo show as part of the Freestival in Edinburgh Fringe, PROTOTYPE.
“Kiesewetter has plenty of national stereotypes to play on, but he soon steers clear of nationality clichés to deliver punchy observational gags about the little things that annoy everyone.” –Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard
About the club…
Special guest MC: Frank Cassidy
One of London’s finest open-mic clubs Touching Cloth (New Material Night) hosts a great weekly night of FREE entertainment featuring comics (new and pro) trying out never-been-heard-before jokes on you: the discerning public at large.
Will their jokes hit the mark
Or will they have to ‘Touch the cloth’?
Either way it’s a roller-coaster ride of fun and open-mic madness mixed with down right weirdness!
Show starts at 8pm and finishes at 10pm. Doors open at 7pm.
The Water Poet, as well as serving a brilliant range of beverages also does great pub food! It also has literally the best beer / smoking garden in the Square Mile.
